Celebrating 95 Years!

One week ago today, my Great Grandma (AKA Granny) celebrated 95 glorious years!  Happy Birthday, Granny!  We had a party for her on Saturday and it was a lot of fun having everyone get together in honor of our Granny.

Coming Home from Camp

Riley went to the DYF (Diabetes Youth Foundation) Camp Until A Cure camp for type 1 Diabetics last week.  She had so much fun!  She was amazed at how much she learned while being at camp!  The staff there is fantastic and they made each and every camper feel special.  We are thankful that Riley had this opportunity, just one week where she was the same as everyone else.

Back To The Basics Of Life

4th Graders had their annual 'Pioneer Days' at school yesterday.  They had a lot of fun preparing for this day and even more fun once the day arrived.  They were to 'dress the part' of a Pioneer and come to school for a day filled with activities such as a breakfast of oatmeal and toast, making butter, walking on stilts, making a tin punch craft, ring toss, x's and o's, bean bag toss, water races, and they ended the day with their Pioneer Dance!  The kids had been learning how to square dance and they finally got to show of their "skills" to the rest of the school and their families.  They all seemed to have a lot of fun and the parents were having just as much fun watching them!  

Movin' On Up...

Payton has only a few days left until he moves out of the Primary building and into the Elementary.   He's growing up so fast!  We're so proud of him!

DYF Camp Until A Cure: Family Camp Weekend

Riley's Trophy!

On Sunday, February 28th we went to the trophy ceremony at the High School. The girls were happy to be together one more time!

11-0.... What a Season!

Payton's team went all the way through the season.... undefeated! They had such a good time and I know we sure enjoyed watching them play! Congratulations, Gators! It was a fun weekend. Aunt Moe even came up to watch Payton play!

Basketball is officially over for Riley's team, Bummer!

The girls ended their season with a loss tonight in the tournament. They sure played a hard game. You can definitely see the improvement each player has made since the first night of practice! It was a lot of fun watching them. I hope they had 1/2 as much fun on the court as their parents had watching from the bleachers! Great Season, Sky! After the game, the team and their families were invited to a spaghetti dinner at Wolfies (they were the team sponsor this year). Everything was wonderful! We had never been there before, and were really impressed with how nice/neat it was inside. Thank you, Wolfies!

All By Herself

I just had to take a few pictures of Riley giving herself a shot. We are so proud of her. In just one week, she has completely mastered her insulin shots. Now, she's doing them in her legs and stomach, without any help at all: no pinching, no pushing, no nothing. What a trooper!

These pictures were taken early last summer. They are some of my favorite ones because they were taken down at my family's barn. These will be pictures that I will always treasure not only because of the subjects, but because it' s where I grew up.
